The Full Low Down

How Pippa Cooper became the disabled, crazy, content creator

The Borderline Kitty.

I've always been crazy. Diagnosed and certified with one of the most stigmatized mental health diagnosis Borderline Personality Disorder. If you feel the immediate need to disconnect here, you are now part of the majority; no one likes BPD. don't like BPD. Infact, I disagree with this as a formal diagnosis for personal and professional reasons; it's bullshit as a diagnosis.

Until I hit my early 30's, I had a career in Early Childhood but also a passion for all things make-up. Prior to this I adored retail, sales and fashion. I have interests in journalism. And art. And psychology, And feminism.vI hold qualifications in Creative Arts, Councilling, Education, Writing. I am comfortably nomadic in all of my interests.

I've lived as a poor student, and a kept-woman. Struggled as the ostracised middle-child. Been part of a disfunctional family, a blended family, a chosen family (my favourite.

Even my sexuality is indeterminate because I'm a bisexual female!

When I began to lose the feeling in my left hand side and trawlled through the NHS system towards my diagnosis with Motor Neuron Disease in 2022, I began to use a mobility aid; a walking stick. And on some days, a wheelchair. And on other days, a power chair. And on other days, the 4 walls of my house and any piece of furniture that I can get my hands on. Even my disability is unsettled

Entering Adulting, the word "borderline" is something that can be used to describe every element of who I am.

So what started as a bullshit diagnosis for my most emotional self is now the foundation of the honest and inclusive personal brand The Borderline Kitty!
